COUNSELLORS

Carol Massey

I am a member of the BACP and an accredited member with NCS. I have substantial experience
working with both children and adults. I work in primary schools and also in the community to
provide quality counselling to help people be the best they can be. I am also CEO of Jigsaw and offer
consultancy work as well as supervision.
My approach is integrative so that I can tailor the service specifically for individual clients and for
what you need at the time. I offer short term work of six weeks for some clients and longer-term
work. I also offer personal therapy for students training to be counsellors.

Rhoda Freeburn

Hi, I’m Rhoda, a licenced Art Therapist registered with the Health Professions Council. As well as being head of Art Therapy at Jigsaw, I run a private practice for individuals of any age. Since 2010 I have worked with a wide range of issues and I am passionate about encouraging individuals, of all ages, to use creativity as a way of expressing difficulties rather than words alone.  I believe art has the power to help individuals understand themselves better, work through difficulties and move forward with confidence.

Tanya Strowger

Hi, I’m Tanya. In addition to being Assistant Project Coordinator at Jigsaw I am also a recently
qualified counsellor with a FdSc in Integrative Counselling. Whist creating a safe, non-judgmental
and compassionate space I draw on humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural theory to
provide a tailor-made approach. My background in music helps me to embrace such creativity within
the counselling environment making your therapy as unique as you are.

Krissie Cutler

Hi, I’m Krissie and I have been volunteering with Jigsaw since August 2018 completing my training in
June 2019. I’m now qualified and get to stay on as a volunteer counsellor doing a job I love, in a
safe, welcoming environment where no problem is too big or too small to be talked about. I
welcome diversity and understand talking about feelings can seem overwhelming so we’ll work at
your pace to build mutual trust and find a way for you to open up and explore whatever is troubling
you. I am a member of BACP and work according to their Ethical Framework undertaking regular
clinical supervision. I have also been a Samaritans volunteer since May 2017 and find helping people
from all backgrounds through difficult times in their lives both challenging but very rewarding. If you
feel that counselling might be able to help you then we look forward to hearing from you.

Sinéad Whelan

Working with Jigsaw has allowed me to further expand my experience supporting those in the
community. I have BA Degree in Integrated Counselling and Psychotherapy which allows me to work
as a counsellor and a psychotherapist. I am also undergoing my MSc in Psychological Science as it is
important to continue studying to offer further support to my clients.I am a Registered Individual
Member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold a Certificate of
Proficiency (CoP) with them. I have a wide range of experience working with different issues such as
anxiety, depression, self worth, relationship issues, bereavement, sexual abuse, loss, trauma,
addiction and more. Whatever difficulty you are facing in your life, I feel confident that I can offer
you a safe and supportive relationship, within which we can help you work toward a more positive
future.
